Ep: 91 Co-parenting with a Narcissist Through the Teen Years

Coparenting with a narcissist is a challenge no matter the age of your child.  We often focus on co-parenting when your children are younger because of the inherent safety concerns.  But things don’t necessarily get easier as your children get older.

There are new challenges when you are co-parenting your teens. There are still safety concerns, but they look different.

Some of the new areas of conflict are:

• When one parent has structure and rules and the other parent has none
• When the narcissistic parent uses the teen as their only emotional support 
• Issues around mental health care or substance use
• Phones, curfews, driving, first jobs, and more
  
  

In this episode we will talk about how to mitigate these challenges that develop as your child moves into the teen years.
