Ep 81: Mic Drop Moments: Responses for Invalidating Conversations about the Abuse
Jan 10, 2024 Season 1 Episode 81
Sybil Cummin, MA, LPC, ACS

How often do you feel misunderstood and invalidated when talking with family and friends or even the professionals in your case?

It is so frustrating when you get the questions or comments from folks who clearly do not understand narcissistic abuse or domestic violence.

How many times have you been in a situation with someone where you wish you had that one-liner that would stop someone in their tracks but it didn't come to you until hours later?

And then you're kicking yourself because you didn't get your point across and were misunderstood?

We need some canned mic drop moments to end this cycle. And this is what I am going to share with you in this episode; some responses you can use when the people around you say those things that are hurtful and invalidating.

In addition, I have created a free resource with more examples of responses that you can use and revise to make them your own to go with this episode.  You can grab that free resource by going here.
